Yes not everything is atomic, but we can pretty much require atomic for new drivers. We'd need to make a new function though which takes drm_connector_state into account (so that non-atomic drivers can keep calling drm_hdmi_avi_infoframe_from_display_mode). For that overall function we'd probably want: drm_hdmi_avi_infoframe_from_state(struct hdmi_avi_infoframe *frame, struct drm_connector_state *conn_state, struct drm_crtc_state *crtc_state); display_info we can get at through conn_state->connector.display_info, and mode we can reach through crtc_state->adjusted_mode.
