I have taken another look also at this function declaration.

1. Can any of these function parameters be marked as “const”?

2. Which source file should provide the corresponding implementation?
(I did not find it in the update step “[PATCH v7 06/13] exfat: add exfat
   entry operations” so far.)

Markus

How do you think about to convert the specification “#define TYPE_…”
into enumerations?

Markus

Good catch, I will move it on next version.

Thanks for your review!

The declaration for a function like “exfat_count_dir_entries” can eventually
be moved instead if you would like to provide a corresponding implementation
by the update step “[PATCH v7 04/13] exfat: add directory operations” so far.
Is there a need to recheck the function grouping once more?

Yep, I will fix them together.

Thanks!

By the way: do you think the driver is already stable enough for
production use ? Are there any limitations we have to consider ?

I just have a client, who wants to use it in a semi-embedded (telemetry)
device, for recording to an external USB drive.

Yes, I think it's stable enough. Our exfat has been in our products for years
and many issues have been fixed.
If you find any issue, Let me know it.

> Are there any limitations we have to consider ?
Well, I think that there is currently no proper mkfs(format), fsck(repair) tool for linux-exfat.
I am working on it and will announce it here as soon as possible.

Are you aware that on Debian and Fedora/RHEL distros a package named exfat-utils is available?
It provides an mkfs and fsck implementation for exfat filesystems.

You can find the source code here: https://github.com/relan/exfat

Yes, I know. They are part of fuse-exfat. I want to create an official tool
for exfat in linux kernel.
And fsck implementation in fuse-exfat is early development stage yet. In
addition, This project seems to have stopped development.

Thanks!
