Pretty sure this is due to the conditional in the Makefile I mentioned in an email yesterday, where it should have been ifneq ($(CONFIG_FB),) for when CONFIG_FB=m. Drop the vivid dependency on CONFIG_FB by compiling out parts of the code that make use of the framebuffer API when not enabled. This is particularly useful as CONFIG_FB is not selected any more by DRM_FBDEV_EMULATION.
