However, the patch subject prefix should be "[PATCH net-next]" for the first version. Specifically, replace "-next" with "net-next". Thanks, Brett > qcq->dentry = qcq_dentry; > > -- > 2.34.1 >

Specifically, replace "-next" with "net-next". That's right, Li Zetao please follow this advice going forward. Since it looks like CI guessed the tree correctly I'll apply v1.
Hello: This patch was applied to netdev/net-next.git (main) by Jakub Kicinski <kuba@kernel.org>: On Tue, 3 Sep 2024 22:31:49 +0800 you wrote: > Since the debugfs_create_dir() never returns a null pointer, checking > the return value for a null pointer is redundant, and using IS_ERR is > safe enough. > > Signed-off-by: Li Zetao <lizetao1@huawei.com> > --- > drivers/net/ethernet/pensando/ionic/ionic_debugfs.c | 2 +- > 1 file changed, 1 insertion(+), 1 deletion(-) Here is the summary with links: - [-next] ionic: Remove redundant null pointer checks in ionic_debugfs_add_qcq() https://git.kernel.org/netdev/net-next/c/4614ac219e3f You are awesome, thank you!

Since the debugfs_create_dir() never returns a null pointer, checking the return value for a null pointer is redundant, and using IS_ERR is safe enough.
