If you can't detect the bounds from the WMI API I think it would be smarter to use the CPU vendor specific CPUID/MSR APIs to discover the topology and how many cores of the different types exist. Furthermore what about LP cores? Implement Intel core enablement under the asus-armoury module using the fw_attributes class. This allows users to enable or disable preformance or efficiency cores depending on their requirements.
