Hi Tigran,  I think Scott has a patch pending for this one, see the 
thread "[PATCH] nfs: make pnfs_destroy_layout() wait on commit when 
inode is being evicted"  I've been carrying this fix:

                 goto out_error;
         if (!may_wait)
