I've reviewed this below. Note that I didn't see a patch 6/6 posted.

Use <> around the email address, that seems to be the standard.

Use u8 rather than unsigned char.

Ditto.

Write this like this:

	{ TVP7002_HPLL_FDBK_DIV_MSBS, 0x67 },

Much more compact and readable.

You would typically order this like this:

	struct i2c_client *c = v4l2_get_subdevdata(sd);
	int retry = 0;
	int error;

I.e. longer line first. It looks better. Of course, only follow this rule if
the variables are independent from one another.

Ugly. Do it like this:

	for (retry = 0; retry < I2C_RETRY_COUNT; retry++) {
		error = i2c_smbus_read_byte_data(c, addr);

		if (error >= 0)
			return error;
		msleep_interruptible(10);
	}
	v4l2_err(sd, "TVP7002 read error %d\n", error);
	return error;
}

Pointless empty line.

Pointless. tvp7002_read will already report an error, so no need to do it
again. Also, you are printing the register address instead of the contents
of that register. Also, v4l2_info will already print a prefix stating that
this is the tvp7002 i2c driver.

Just replace this with something like this:

static void tvp7002_log_register(struct v4l2_subdev *sd, int reg, const char *msg)
{
	int res = tvp7002_read(sd, reg);

	if (res >= 0)
		v4l2_info(sd, "%s = 0x%02x\n", msg, res);
}

Test against < 0, not -1. Please check all read and write calls for this.

No need for the tvp7002 prefix, v4l2_err and friends handle that already.
Please check for all these calls.

Since tvp7002_write/read already returns a proper error, just propagate that using
'return error'. Please check all these calls.

current_std is unsigned, so this comparison will not work.
Also tvp7002_get_video_mode returns an int.

You probably want to do something like this:

int res;

res = tvp7002_get_video_mode(sd);
if (res < 0)
	return res;
current_std = res;

This happens in more places, please check.

Please remove v4l2_err here. Seems pointless.

Or:

if (!v4l2_chip_match_i2c_client(client, &reg->match))

if (!capable(CAP_SYS_ADMIN))

No goto needed + easier to understand + shorter.

If you found it, then you can just do a return 0 here. No need to continue

No switch needed. Just do:

if (enable) {
	// case 1
} else {
	// case 0
}

There is no other meaning attached to 'enable', so no need to check for other
values.
