I dropped the RFC tags, and I added a couple of new patches. Most of these patches address the issue where the module check and complains about DRAM ECC on nodes without memory. Patch 3 is new and came out of looking at the family type structs and the boot flow. Patch 6 fixes the "grain not set" warning that was recently introduced.
