Looking at the code this seems I just reused the same error code as if there is no space in the routes array check above this chunk, my bad. I will fix this for the next version.

Expose the subdevice internal routing from the single multiplexed sink pad to its source pads by implementing .get_routing(). This information is used to do link validation at stream start and allows user-space to view the route configuration.
