CET protection in user mode and kernel mode relies on
specific MSRs, these MSRs' contents are automatically
saved/restored by xsaves/xrstors instructions.

Hi,

CET state should be retrieved or set not via XSAVE, but rather with
KVM_GET/SET_MSR, so this part is not needed.
