This specific patch is just the only patch in the process that impacts every driver, and is what all the work thus far has been to make safe. Once this is applied it will be easy to apply the next ones as they only impact two drivers and other drivers can debug and use the new features as they need. Jason

The sgl->sg_len is an unsigned int so the largest power of two we can store in it is 2G. Jason
