The "mmu-type" DT property is very critical for RUNTIME M-mode firmware (OpenSBI) because it tells whether a given CPU has MMU (or not). This is also in agreement with the current DT bindings document for RISC-V CPUs. I suggest to drop the change in sifive/fu540-c000.dtsi and rest of the patch is fine so my Reviewed-by still holds.
