Wow, weird.  I just ran this exact same tool yesterday and saw the
same typos, and had a patch series I was going to send in.  You beat
me to it.

I think a big set of typofixes like this should be split into multiple commits:

  * typofixes in Documentation/
  * typofixes in code comments
  * typofixes in strings meant to be seen by a human (e.g. test
descriptions, docstrings in git-p4.py, docstrings in perl/Git/I18N.pm)
  * typofixes in dumpfiles (the fixes in t/t9150/svk-merge.dump
b/t/t9150/svk-merge.dump deserve explanation why they won't break
tests)
  * typofixes in code (e.g. commit messages passed to git commit -m,
refnames used on command line, etc.)
  * anything else (possibly split up into more categories)

because the separate contexts make it easier for reviewers to
validate.  They can skim over comments, because even if fixes are
wrong, they won't hurt anything...and since those take up a huge
proportion of the changes, they can concentrate effort on the other
patches.  They'll look a little closer at Documentation and strings
meants to be seen as a human, but be thinking in terms of legibility.
For dumpfiles, they'll consider whether tests depend on imports and
hashes of the data or things of that sort.  For miscellaneous,
hopefully a smaller set, they'll review even more carefully.


I read through it all anyway, since I essentially had the same changes
in my patches.  You fixed one of the merge-ort.c typos incorrectly,
but the rest of the changes in this patch look good.  If you fix the
merge-ort.c typo correctly, and at a minimum explain why the svk dump
is okay to alter (and preferably also split this commit up into 4-5
patches or so), then feel free to add:
